  1. Print the stacked Headband .stl file that best fits the working envelope of your 3D Printer. A single file, 2x, 4x, 6x, 8x, and 10x files have been provided to increase print efficiency. Files located at the end of the instructions.

    • Print Material : Nylon, PETG, ABS, ASA are preferred over PLA as PLA is harder to sanitize and is less flexible.

    • Rogue is currently printing on multiple Markforged X7 with the below specs as a reference.

    • Onyx Material (Nylon with chopped Carbon Fiber)

    • 0.250mm (Turbo) Layer Height

    • Triangular Infill, 37% density, 3 Roof & Floor Layers, 2 Wall Layers and a base brim for stability.

    • Carefully separate the parts and clean up any excess material.

  2. Drawing and .dwg flat pattern file attached at the end of guide. Cut face shield file out of 5mil [0.005"] PET plastic material.

    • Ensure there are no burrs on the cut edges.

  3. Elastic strap drawing attached at the end of guide. Use 3/4" Braided Elastic. Cut 16.5" length of material.

    • Mark elastic at 1.5”, 3”, 4.5” 12”, 13.5”, and 15” from one end.

  4. Fold the elastic at the marked locations and cut a 1/4" slit with scissors, this will produce 1/2" slits when unfolded. Fold the elastic at the marked locations and cut a 1/4" slit with scissors, this will produce 1/2" slits when unfolded.

    • WARNING: Wash your hands and your surroundings first, before you start to assemble the face shield.

    • It is recommended to use gloves during the assembly.

  5. Place the plexiglass in front of you, turn the side with four holes up. Place the headband near the top edge, see the four pins (protrusions). We will use them to assemble the plexiglass, starting in the middle. For easier assembly, it is recommended to push your hand through the headband. Mount the plexiglass on the headband using the second hole from the right. Hold it with your thumb.
    • Place the plexiglass in front of you, turn the side with four holes up. Place the headband near the top edge, see the four pins (protrusions). We will use them to assemble the plexiglass, starting in the middle.

    • For easier assembly, it is recommended to push your hand through the headband.

    • Mount the plexiglass on the headband using the second hole from the right. Hold it with your thumb.

    • Carefully straighten the right side of the headband along the plexiglass and insert the pin. As soon as the pin is through, you can release the thumb.

    • Continue on the other side of the headband, apply the same approach. Straighten the headband, avoid bending the clear face shield.

  6. Take either end of the elastic strap and hook it around the protrusion on the end of the headband. Place the other end of the flexible band on the opposite side of the headband. Adjust the length if needed.

    • The face shield is ready. Disinfect the shield before use.
