Introduction

The following guide demonstrates the recommended method for cleaning and disinfecting powder coated gym equipment.

  1. Remove any excess chalk with a nylon bristle brush.

  2. Clean the part with a solution of mild soap or detergent using a cloth or paper towel. Dry with a clean cloth.

  3. Wet the part with a cleaner or wipe containing an EPA approved disinfectant. NOTE: Make sure the solution does not contain alcohol, phenol, bleach, and ammonia.

    • Leave the disinfectant in place for the duration specified by the wipe manufacturer.
